Yorke & Bullard To Appear At Banks’s

We have a long history here at Walsall FC for hosting some of the biggest names in sport as they tell their stories from yesteryear to an awe-inspired audience.

This winter, we will welcome two former footballers to the West Midlands, each with very different personas.

After beginning his career with Aston Villa, Dwight York developed a fearsome reputation as a ruthless goal scorer and was labelled the “smiling assassin” because of his exploits in front of goal.

The Trinidad and Tabago international went on to score over 150 goals in a career spanning nearly two decades, playing a crucial role in Manchester United’s domestic and European success in the late 1990’s.

His legendary partnership with Andrew Cole terrorised defences across Europe and helped guide United to their triumphant treble of the FA Cup, Champions League and Premier League in 1998/99.

Now a regular pundit on Sky Sports, the 43-year old will share some of his memories from one of the most revered careers in the English game on Thursday December 10th here at the Banks’s Stadium.

Yorke’s appearance comes just 7 days after a visit from one of the most colourful football personalities in football’s modern era.

Jimmy Bullard enjoyed a successful career in the professional game but his antics off the pitch have propelled him to cult hero status amongst football fans across the country.

His larger-than-life character and humorous outlook on life saw the East-Londoner appear on TV show I’m a Celebrity back in November 2014.

The former player turned prankster will relive his time in the jungle and his playing days in what is guaranteed to be a hilarious evening of entertainment!

Jimmy Bullard will be here on Thursday 3rd December to kickstart the festive period at your premier venue in the West Midlands!

We look forward to hosting these two very talented and entertaining sports personalities.
